Description: We are seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to join our high-performing team supporting the development, integration, and automation of complex mission systems. This role requires a strong foundation in systems engineering with a focus on networked infrastructure, automation, and modern software deployment practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud environments, scripting, system orchestration, and infrastructure automation. You’ll collaborate with software engineers, DevOps professionals, and cybersecurity teams to design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable systems that support critical operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, automate, and maintain system configurations, workflows, and processes to ensure the availability and performance of mission-critical systems.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and DevOps teams to optimize cloud deployment, system integration, and CI/CD pipeline automation. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues related to system
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline configuration management, deployment, and monitoring
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system and network performance issues to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Support the integration and operation of containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools.
  • Implement and enforce system and network security measures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, deployment processes, and network topologies.

Skills Requirements:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) in support of infrastructure and application deployment.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible).
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes or ECS).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices to support automated build and deployment workflows.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows system administration.
  • Familiarity with source control systems like Git and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with additional programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
  • Familiarity with network architecture and cloud networking components (VPC, VPN, Load Balancers).
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Azure certifications.
  • Experience with data engineering or managing large-scale data pipelines.
  • Experience in container security or securing Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
  • Familiarity with data storage systems (e.g., relational, NoSQL, or data lakes).
