Software Engineer (SWE), Level 3 D.26.0218

Salary Range: $260k-$285k per year with an additional $65k-$71k in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions

Description: In this role, you will provide end-to-end engineering support to architect, build, and maintain robust, large-scale distributed web applications and cloud-native systems. A key focus of this position is the ability to react swiftly to emergent mission opportunities, rapidly prototyping and fielding critical capabilities under compressed timelines. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teammates, analysts, and security researchers operating within the offensive cyber space to modernize infrastructure, integrate automated workflows, and address complex technical challenges. Ultimately, your responsiveness and technical rigor will directly accelerate mission success by leveraging modern cloud architectures, cutting-edge automation, and AI-assisted development tools to deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust, large-scale distributed web applications and full-stack solutions utilizing JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
  • Architect scalable microservices, REST middleware, and backend data processing pipelines capable of supporting high-tempo mission requirements.
  • Deploy and manage services across cloud-native and high-side environments (e.g., AWS, C2S) utilizing
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and DevOps automation.
  • Create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD) to ensure rapid, secure, and reliable software delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mission analysts, and vulnerability researchers to integrate engineering best practices into offensive cyber tooling and rapid-response capabilities.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Opencode) to maximize development velocity when addressing emergent mission opportunities.

Skills Requirements:

  • Production-grade software development experience in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript building enterprise-grade, distributed web applications.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end full-stack architecture, including modern frontend design, RESTful APIs, relational/non-relational databases, and backend services.
  • Experience with DevOps automation, containerization technologies (Docker), continuous integration pipelines, and cloud service providers (AWS/C2S).
  • Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, such as Git-based version control, testing frameworks, and agile workflows within collaborative team structures

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working within or interest in vulnerability research, and software reverse engineering.
  • Experience using and configuring AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Opencode) via skills, memory, or custom extensions.
  • Familiarity with modern UI libraries (React, Angular, Vue) alongside legacy stacks (Bootstrap, jQuery).
  • Knowledge of mobile vulnerability research and Android application architecture.
  • Experience with low-level programming (C/C++), debugging tools (gdb), or legacy analytics frameworks (Java Map/Reduce).
